DealersGO — Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
DealersGO is a Chrome extension used by dealership sales staff to post vehicle inventory to Facebook Marketplace and Groups, read replies from buyers, and keep track of leads. It is provided to authorised dealership users only.
What the extension accesses
- Facebook pages you open (facebook.com): the extension fills in the Marketplace listing form, posts to groups you choose, and reads your Marketplace inbox to show buyer conversations inside the extension. It only acts when you start a task, and only in your own logged-in Facebook session. It never stores your Facebook password.
- Facebook sign-in status: the extension checks for the presence of Facebook's session cookie so it can tell you when you are signed out. The cookie value is not transmitted anywhere.
- Your dealership's inventory: fetched from the DealersGO server, which reads it from the dealership's public website or an inventory feed.
What is stored and where
- In your browser (chrome.storage): your name and phone, settings, the inventory, which vehicles you posted, conversations and leads read from Facebook, and photo edits. This stays on your computer unless you uninstall the extension.
- On the DealersGO server: the dealership's inventory, a log of listings posted (vehicle, salesperson name, date, price), leads captured from buyer messages (buyer name, contact details they sent, vehicle, notes you add), vehicle photos processed for background changes, and error reports (which step failed). This information is used only to run the service for your dealership and is visible to your dealership's administrator.
What is not done
- No data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising.
- No browsing activity outside facebook.com and the DealersGO server is collected.
- Messages are never sent on your behalf without you pressing Send.
Third-party services
When AI descriptions or reply drafts are enabled by your administrator, vehicle facts and the relevant conversation text are sent to Anthropic's API to generate text. Photo background changes are processed on the DealersGO server.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the extension removes everything stored in your browser. Ask your dealership administrator to remove server-side records.
